Luggage Repair
Repairs are done on our premises, by our experienced repairman, Jordan. We are an authorized luggage repair center for Victorinox, Travelpro, Briggs & Riley, Johnston & Murphy, Delsey, Antler and Kiva. We also do repairs on most luggage brands including Hartmann and Samsonite. We repair musical instrument cases, purses and golf bags. We are members of the International Luggage Repair Association. Airline Damage
If your luggage is damaged by an airline, you should:
- Check your baggage carefully in the luggage claims area before leaving the airport.
- Report any damage immediately to the baggage service center of the airline on which you traveled and file damage claims before you leave the airport.
If you do not follow this procedure, you risk that the damage will not be covered under the airline policy.
Out of Town
If you live too far from our store to bring your damaged luggage in, call us. If the luggage is under warranty, some manufacturers will cover the shipping charges from our repair center. You can also ship your luggage to us. Before you ship your repair to us, please call us to discuss your repair and obtain a repair ticket number. General Info on Luggage Warranties
Most manufacturers offer a warranty that their products will be free of defects in material and workmanship. They do not usually cover airline damage, misuse or wear-and-tear. Moving parts and wheels do show wear with use over time and may need to be repaired or replaced. These are not usually covered under warranty. (There are exceptions.) Most manufacturers will undertake to repair your luggage or replace it if it cannot be repaired.
