Airline Damage
If your luggage is damaged by the airline, there are things you can do:
- Check your baggage carefully in the luggage claims area before leaving the airport.
- Report any damage immediately to the baggage service center of the airline on which you traveled and file damage claims before you leave the airport.
If you do not follow this procedure, you risk that the damage will not be covered under the airline policy.
If you live far from our store
If you live too far from our store to bring your damaged luggage in, call us. If the luggage is under warranty, some manufacturers
will cover the shipping charges to and from our repair center. You can also ship your luggage to us and we will call you and discuss the repair and its cost before we complete it. Reach us at 800-720-2928 or

General Info on Luggage Warranties
Most manufacturers offer a warranty that their products will be free of defects in material and workmanship. They do not usually cover airline damage, misuse or wear-and-tear. Moving parts and wheels do show wear with use over time and may need to be repaired or replaced. This is not covered under warranty. (There are exceptions: Briggs & Riley will cover any damage - even if you drive over it with your car.) Most manufacturers will undertake to repair your luggage or replace it if it cannot be repaired. This warranty is supplied directly to the customer. Keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
